Show Me What YOU Know
In this formative assessment, I only provide students with a standards-based grading rubric. Students must show ME what THEY know. This assessment is a project-based although students may show me what they have learned in variety of ways such as presentations, papers, projects, poster boards, etc. I have yet to try this but have read several blogs of other teachers who have used this method and have vouched for how much this motivates students and what students are capable of producing.

This website allows you to create Jeopardy based games for your classroom without using Powerpoint. Because it is online, you are also able to access it anywhere on any computer. Also if you do not feel like or have the time to create a Jeopardy game, you can search the website's templates created by other users to borrow a game. Padlet
|
Padlet is an interactive website that allows students individually or in groups to work together in an online board. This website combines blogs and pinterest in my eyes. Users can share videos, pictures, articles, links, and their own thoughts on this website, each showing up as individual posts.

Coggle
Coggle is an interactive mind map. This assessment tool would be great for both pre-assessment and as formative assessment. This interactive mind map allows anyone to add thoughts at any given time. Users are also allowed to add images to the mind map. Plickers
Plickers is a quick way to formatively assess students. Each student has a printed shape that is associated with their name. They hold the shape in the direction with the letter they choose for the answer. Then, I come around with the app open on my phone which scans the students' answers. The results are posted in a graph or listed. This is a quick way to poll students, also!
Quizizz
Quizizz is a way to assess students that is engaging with Memes. Memes celebrate correct answer and are encouraging for answers that are incorrect.
